Acrylic, oil, markers, crayons, and airbrush on canvas

this entry has 0 Comments/ in Everyday stories, Painting / by Conni Bønløkke
28. March 2013

Conni Bønløkke’s work relates to community. It includes a streak of fairy-tales and/or a wondrous atmosphere, where irony and humor reign along with reflectiveness. In her work she explores the tension between civilization and nature, idyllic landscapes in realistic brushstrokes and a touch of utopia.

She lets the figure’s identity fade in the colors, which are spilled, dripped and repainted in an attempt to make the unknown appear.
